The Moral Law
People must have a moral law. The moral law gets people to do the right things in face of danger, discomfort, stress, and anger. The moral law is the fabric that holds the soldiers together. The moral law is needed for the generals to have power and authority over their subjects.
In business, there must also be a moral law. The subordinates must respect their leaders and do the right things based on moral law. A business that looks lightly on moral infractions like lying and stealing will eventually find that their subjects aren't willing to fight for the company in the face of difficult tasks. The great business culture is to develop a deep sense of morals like loyalty, bravery, and persistence in the face of trials. These moral behaviors will keep the business going in times of difficulty. The effective business leader must instill and create a culture of morality in the workplace. Employees that steal and lie must be fired.
