Conceal Your Disposition
If someone is excited about something, you know can easily predict what they are going to do. If you can't read how someone feels about something, you don't know how to bait them or treat them. For example, if you are buying a car and look excited and willing to buy then you may not negotiate a deal very well because the salesperson knows you aren't going to walk. If, on the other hand, the salesperson can't tell whether you will walk or not, you can be more likely to get a good deal.
In any company, you have to assume that there are spies. There are people that may reveal your information to competitors. Any plans should be kept secret. A leader should not reveal plans to subordinates until the last moment and only reveal what is needed to be known. There are a lot of employees that will steal company ideas and go out on their own. There are also people that sell their ideas or clients to the competitor. The best strategy is to make plans secret and conceal your disposition. If people can't tell how you feel about things, they won't be able to predict what you will do.
