Evils of War and Being Effective
Sun Tzu said, “It is only one who is thoroughly acquainted with the evils of war that can thoroughly understand the profitable way of carrying it on.”
In business, only those that understand the evil nature of business can really understand how to do it profitably. Some managers have their head in the clouds and think that there is really room for everyone to peacefully coexist.
A great leader knows that the competition is ripe on bringing them down. They understand the evil tactics that are going to be used against them. It may not seem right, but a great leader must understand the evil nature of people to be able to manage them properly. Once a business leader knows the evil nature of a business, they can then know how to deploy their resources to maximize their revenues and be profitable. Companies that don't understand the evil ways of their competitors will have a much harder time being profitable because they will have no defense and make poor decisions based on non-reality.
